"If a tiny spark of God’s love already burns within you, do not expose it to the wind, for it may get blown out… Stay quiet with God. Do not spend your time in useless chatter… Do not give yourself to others so completely that you have nothing left for yourself."
— St. Charles Borromeo
Listen
When I ask you to listen to me and you start giving me advice, you have not done what I asked.
When I ask you to listen to me and you begin to tell me that I shouldn't feel that way, you are trampling on my feelings.
When I ask you to listen to me and you feel you have to do something to solve my problem, you have failed me, strange as that may seem.
Listen! All that I asked was that you listen--not talk or do--just hear me.
February 8
I am above all things: your problems, your pain, and the swirling events in this ever-changing world. When you behold My Face, you rise above circumstances and rest with Me in heavenly realms. This is the way of Peace, living in the Light of My Presence. I guarantee that you will always have problems in this life, but they must not become your focus. When you feel yourself sinking in the sea of circumstances, say “Help me, Jesus!” and I will draw you back to Me. If you have to say that thousands of times daily, don’t be discouraged. I know your weakness, and I meet you in that very place.
And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.
—Ephesians 2:6
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.

We had a nice quiet Sunday. A friend called that I haven't talked with in a long time, and it was so nice to catch up. The storm never developed into snow. It's been raining since I got up. It's so nice to wake up and see 38 degrees. We have another VA trip today, but I'm hoping DH will cancel it. It's nearly two hours drive, just for a test result. Nothing else planned for now. Hope everyone has a good week, and improved weather. pinky

Gloria, I know I've thanked you before, but I really appreciate the "Jesus Calling" messages. I always seem to find something I'm experiencing that day in those messages.
Blessings to all.
Stay safe and warm.

Pinky Ann - It sure was a quiet Sunday for me, too! Weather here is nice today, too! Our new neighbor next door came from San Antonio, moved here to be close to a VA hospital. We are not far at all from the VA here. My Dad was a Veteran from WWI and he had cancer, and doctored in Mpls. They didn't have one in St. Cloud then.
Bobbiesue - it's always good to have someone to email with. Glad you have a new friend. I'll email you too, you know that. That's always a big blessing from God to get friends. If you can fix your computer - that's a great blessing!!!! Good for you!!!
Harlene - Father Jerry gave me that book, and Nadine found these online so I don't have to type them all out, Thank God for Nadine! and Father Jerry was just over Friday and he said he's glad he's getting them from me too because he gave away all the books he had!! He just loves it getting it on email. This is why I also add it to the thread for those who don't get it on email. So glad God has made this possible to send out. Praise be Jesus! Doesn't it make you feel closer and closer to Jesus?
