Daily Positive Thread for Monday

Hello my friends! May the peace of Jesus be always with you! Today's blessings was a wonderful Mass this morning - and the rest of the day a good restful day. It is now 8:02 PM and all's well! I give thanks to our GOD for a warm house now that it's getting colder out, and for all His blessings to us, way to many to remember! Thank you, Jesus, and also thank you for your answers to prayer on the Prayer Request thread! We love you and we thank you!! Praying for you all - for all your needs, and thanks for your prayers for us.

Keep your heart clean by constant spring cleaning. Then there will be a

place

for beauty and peace. Lord, help me to remove carelessness and disrespect

from

my heart and in all things may I celebrate Your love for me.

Scripture for the day:

"What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is

spirit. Do not be astonished that I said to you, 'You must be born from

above.' The wind blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, but

you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone

who is born of the Spirit." ~John 3:6-8

Meditation for the day:

To be attracted toward God and a better life, we can be spirit-guided. There

is a wonderful illumination of thought given to those who are spirit-guided.

To those who are material-guided, there is nothing in God or a finer life to

appeal to them or to attract them. But to those of us who are spirit-guided

there is strength and peace and calm to be found in communion with an unseen

Lord. To those of us who believe in this God we cannot see but whose power

we can feel, life has a meaning

and purpose. We are children of the unseen Lord, and all human beings are

our brothers and sisters.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may attain a state of true calmness. I pray that I may live

in quietness and peace.

"God made them male and female... and the two become one body."

Must Not Divide

Unity with our fellow human beings dominates today´s liturgy. We are all of

the sanme stock (Heb 2:11) and can count our Saviour as one of ourselves by

God´s benign decree. The unity of husband and wife is likewise God´s

creation though hardness of heart has led people to ignore this. Even as

they hear about it, the disciples display hardness of heart towards the

children whom Jesus wants to bless. He comments marriage and blesses its

fruits.

PERSONAL PRAYER

Jesus, let my reception of Holy Communion impress upon me the unity of all

humans in you. May it help me to live your life since it is your Body and

Blood. By the strength of this food may I always try to heal divisions, not

cause them, alleviate suffering, not increase it. Help me to be humble

enough to appreciate your love and welcome your Kingdom. Amen.

Everyone Needs Someone

People need people and friends need friends

And we all need love for a full life depends

Not on vast riches or great acclaim,

Not on success or on worldly fame,

But just in knowing that someone cares

And holds us close in their thoughts and prayers-

For only the knowledge that we're understood

Makes everyday living feel wonderfully good,

And we rob ourselves of life's greatest need

When we "lock up our hearts" and fail to heed

The outstretched hand reaching to find

A kindred spirit whose heart and mind

Are lonely and longing to somehow share

Our joys and sorrows and to make us aware

That life's completeness and richness depends

On the things we share with our loved ones and friends.

~ Helen Steiner Rice

PRAYER SEEKING GOD'S LOVE

O God, loving Father, fill me with your infinite love and affection. Let me

remain in your steadfast love. Remove from me the feeling that no one loves

me. Take away from me the sorrowful thought that I am unwanted. I am yours

and yours only. You are my refuge. Loving Father, I acknowledge with

gratitude, in your sending your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ for my

salvation. Jesus, my loving Lord, I praise you, for cleansing me of my sins

and granting me the position of a child of God, through your death on

Calvary. O Holy Spirit, love of God, come and fill me. Let the flame of the

love of God blaze in me without ever dying out. Amen.

Learning From Jesus

If you have forgotten how to love, you might pray -

"Sacred Heart of Jesus, I implore that I may ever love You more and more."

If you are insecure and anxious -

"Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You."

If you are sensitive and resentful -

"Jesus meek and humble of Heart, make my heart like Yours."

If you have too little time for others -

"Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy kingdom come."

For your own sins and mistakes -

"Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on me."

For others -

"Sacred Heart of Jesus. May you be known, loved and imitated."

From the Prayerbook of the Missionaries of Charity (Mother Teresa's Order)

Let us all become a true and fruitful branch on the vine Jesus,

by accepting Him in our lives as it pleases Him to come:

as the Truth - to be told;

as the Life - to be lived;

as the Light - to be lighted;

as the Love - to be loved;

as the Way - to be walked;

as the Joy - to be given;

as the Peace - to be spread;

as the Sacrifice - to be offered,

in our families and within our neighborhood.

Amen.

THE HANDWRITING ON THE WALL

A weary mother returned from the store, Lugging groceries through the

kitchen door. Awaiting her arrival was her 8 year old son, Anxious to relate

what his younger brother had done.

"While I was out playing and Dad was on a call, T.J. took his crayons

and wrote on the wall! It's on the new paper you just hung in the den. I

told him you'd be mad at having to do it again."

She let out a moan and furrowed her brow, "Where is your little brother

right now?" She emptied her arms and with a purposeful stride, She marched

to his closet where he had gone to hide.

She called his full name as she entered his room. He trembled with

fear--he knew that meant doom! For the next ten minutes, she ranted and

raved About the expensive wallpaper and how she had saved.

Lamenting all the work it would take to repair, She condemned his

actions and total lack of care. The more she scolded, the madder she got,

Then stomped from his room, totally distraught!

She headed for the den to confirm her fears. When she saw the wall, her

eyes flooded with tears. The message she read pierced her soul with a dart.

It said, "I love Mommy," surrounded by a heart.

Well, the wallpaper remained, just as she found it, With an empty

picture frame hung to surround it. A reminder to her, and indeed to all,

Take time to read the handwriting on the wall

Gifts

Not more of light I ask, O God,

But eyes to see what is;

Not sweeter songs,

But ears to hear these melodies;

Not more of strength,

But how to use the power that I possess;

Not more of love,

But skill to turn a frown into a caress;

Not more of joy,

But how to feel its kindly presence near;

To give to others all I have,

Of courage and of cheer.

No other gifts, dear God, I ask,

But only sense to see;

How best to use these precious gifts;

Thou hast bestowed on me.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Monday

Hello To All!

Had a nice day yesterday. Went to a store and found a nice wrap for the cooler days (whenever that will be) and picked up one for a family member. Went to Costco and did some buying, then out for a late lunch with my husband. He drove so all was well. Today, I will drive solo - first time in weeks. I am conditioning myself to get back to some routine things. I look forward to start cleaning for the season as I am doing better.

I find quiet and peace when I clean my home and do some ironing. It's meditative/spiritual for me. I give thanks for the many blessings that are given at no cost to me.

Everyone, take care, stay safe, I keep all in my highest thoughts and prayers. I daily give thanks for this nation, her beauty, her strength, her resilience, her generosity, her outstanding troops, citizens, allies, liberties, privileges, and rights. The
USA is so very blessed. Be at peace and know you are loved.

I heard from Sam. It was not good, but he is ok. I am about to give up on this adopted child who is now an adult. May Jesus help me.

Good afternoon!

Late getting here, I slept in this morning, something I never do. I woke up earlier but sat down in a recliner, covered up, got warm and off I went. My day is kinda off because of getting up later, here it is after 12 and I'm just lazying around like I've nothing to do. lol

I ask the Lord to bless you all and to bless our great country. He knows the troubles this world has. Everything and everyone has a plan in the circle of life. We need to turn to God and ask for forgiveness, may he have mercy on us.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Monday

Hello everyone,

Yesterday was quite chilly here, today just a tad warmer. I sure hope the real cold weather will hold off for a while. Anyhow today, I stripped the beds and put everything back on. The other day I bought some gala apples 4lbs for fifty cents. I could not pass that deal. So today I made apple squares, and shame on me I already ate three of them. Lol! My blessing the apples, since our apple tree the animals and birds done treated themselves and left none for us. So I guess they were blessed to...lol! Another blessing to have power so I could bake, cook, and wash the clothes. The power coming into the house sure brings quite a few blessings.

Gloriajean prayers for Michelle.

Bluegrassbaby, Welcome! Please feel free to come back and join in. May God grant you the patience that you are looking for.
