Do not worry about tomorrow. Do you not have enough to be busy with
today? Lord, help me use today wisely so that I have time for myself
and others.
Scripture of the day:
"As for that in the good soil, these are the ones who, when they hear
the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit
with patient endurance." ~Luke 8:15
Meditation for the day:
The laws of nature cannot be changed and must be obeyed if we are to
stay healthy. No exceptions can be made in our case. We can submit
to the laws of nature or they will finally break us. And in the realm
of the spirit, in all human relationships, we can submit to the moral
laws and to the will of God. If we continue to break the laws of
honesty, purity, unselfishness and love, we can be broken to some
extent ourselves. The moral and spiritual laws of God, like the laws
of nature, are unbreakable without some disaster. If we are dishonest,
impure, selfish and unloving, we are not living according to the laws
of the spirit and we may suffer the consequences.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may submit to the laws of nature and to the laws of God.
I pray that I may live in harmony with all the laws of life.
Greetings to my friends! Another one about worry. God is getting our
attention, isn't He? How was your day? Had another house showing, and
already found out they thought it was too much upkeep out in the yard, - so
they're not interested either. God is Good - we put our trust in Him -
Either He will bring us the right people, or something else will happen for
the good. I'm glad we can put our whole trust in Him with Mary and St
Joseph interceding. Today was a hot one - wow and humidity! Thanks be to
God for Air Cond. and for neighbors who let me come there to watch when the
people leave so I can go home. Sammy was a good boy there but once we got
in the door he barked at all the rooms again thinking he'll for sure find
someone! Tomorrow starts Linus' long week - 5 days in a row -he's not used
to that, and tomorrow it's 8 hours. Prayer is what he needs and that will
keep him going. He's been offering up his pains instead of taking pain
meds. It was very nice out tonight though in the porch when we said our
prayers together. Tomorrow is Sister LaDonna's 83rd birthday! I'll email
her - and wish her a HappyBirthday! May call her too, tomorrow night. Just
got a call from another of my sisters, Ethel, inviting me to her house for a
birthday party for LaDonna Sunday - can't go, he works.

What Does God See Whe He Looks at Your Heart?
by Monsignor Dennis Clark, Ph.D.
Gn 22:1-19 / Mt 9:1-8
More than a century ago, Abraham Lincoln made the famous observation, “You
can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all the
time, but you can never fool all the people all the time.” Quite so, yet a
lot of our politicians keep trying!
For us, an important corollary of this is that you can’t fool God — ever —
not even for an instant! Yet it seems that we keep trying. In today’s
gospel, Jesus shows us once again His ability to read people’s hearts. It
was the source of one of the great and continuing sadnesses of His life: He
could see the envy and hatred that so many people harbored against Him, and
for no reason.
What does the Lord see when He reads our hearts? Without doubt He sees our
goodness — which we ourselves so often fail to see and trust — and He sees
our desire to be true and to do the deeds of love. But there’s another part
of us that He sees as well, our sins and failures, of course, but also those
locked rooms whose doors we refuse to even open.
If the Lord sees what is in us and does not reject us, why should we fear to
enter those darkened rooms and to see those parts of ourselves that we fear
and shudder to face? The answer is that we shouldn’t, for, as the prayer
says, “Lord, there is nothing that You and I can’t handle together!”
Remember that, trust Him, and open those doors now!
Righteous VS. Unrighteous Planting
If you plant honesty, You will reap trust
If you plant goodness, You will reap friends
If you plant humility, You will reap greatness
If you plant perseverance, You will reap victory
If you plant consideration, You will reap harmony
If you plant hard work, You will reap success
If you plant forgiveness, You will reap reconciliation
If you plant openness, You will reap intimacy
If you plant patience, You will reap improvements
If you plant faith, You will reap miracles
But
If you plant dishonesty, You will reap distrust.
If you plant selfishness, You will reap loneliness
If you plant pride, You will reap destruction
If you plant envy, You will reap trouble
If you plant laziness, You will reap stagnation.
If you plant bitterness, You will reap isolation
If you plant greed, You will reap loss
If you plant gossip, You will reap enemies
If you plant worries, You will reap wrinkles
If you plant sin, You will reap guilt
So be careful what you plant now,
It will determine what you will reap tomorrow,
The seeds you now scatter, Will make life worse or better,
for your life or the ones who will come after.
Yes, someday, you will enjoy the fruits,
Or you will pay for the choices you plant today.
GOD'S HOLD IS SURE
There were two brethren who differed on the question of the believer's
safety in Christ. They were discussing the question, and one said to the
other:
"I'll tell you, a child of God is safe only so long as he stays in the
lifeboat. He may jump out, and if he jumps out he is lost."
To this the other replied, saying: "You remind me of an incident in my own
life. I took my little son out with me in a boat. I realized, as he did not,
the danger of his falling or even jumping into the water. So I sat with him
all the time, and all the time I held him fast, so he could neither fall out
nor jump out of the boat."
"But," said the first speaker, "He could have wriggled out of his coat and
got away in spite of you."
"Oh," said the other, "you misunderstood me if you supposed I was holding
his coat; I was holding him."

The poor are great people
Bl. Mother Teresa
The poor do not need our sympathy and our pity. The poor need our love and
compassion. They give us much more than we give them.
During a terrible time when millions of refugees fled to India, we asked for
help and many volunteers came and spent some months with us, just loving,
serving, giving tender love and care to our people. On their departure, they
said they had received much more than they had given.
In Calcutta, some time ago, we went out at night and picked up four or five
people from the street and took them to our Home for the Dying. One of them
was in a very bad condition and I wanted to take care of her myself. I did
for her all that my love could do. When I put her into bed, she took hold of
my hand and there was such a wonderful smile on her face. She said one word:
"Thank you" and she died.
She gave me much more than I had given her. She gave me her grateful heart
and I thought: what would I have done in her place? My answer was: I would
have tried to draw some attention to myself, I would have said: I am hungry
or I am cold or I am dying. But she, she was so great, she was so beautiful
in her giving.
PRAYER FOR LIFE:
O God, our Creator, all life is in your hands from conception until death.
Help us to cherish our children and to reverence the awesome privilege of
our share in creation. May all people live and die in dignity and love.
Bless all those who defend the rights of the unborn, the handicapped and the
aged. Enlighten and be merciful toward those who fail to love, and give
them peace. Let freedom be tempered by responsibility, integrity and
morality. Amen
Father,
May I always remember
that all the parts of my body are good because you made them,
that my body does not belong to me but to you,
who bought it at my Baptism
at the price of Christ's Cross
and that my body is the living temple of the Holy Spirit.
Give me self-control over my passions, appetites and imaginations;
give me respect for the opposite s ex
and esteem for my own;
create in me that wholeness and integrity
that all my powers may be consecrated to your service
according to my state in life.
May Mary the Blessed Virgin Mother,
watch over me through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Matthew 5:8 - "Happy are the pure in Heart; they will see God!"
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - Don't you know that your body is a temple for the
Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not
belong to yourselves but to God; he has bought you for a price. So use your
bodies for God's glory.
Good night -Sweet Dreams - See you all tomorrow - God bless you!
