@Greeneyedlady21 he probably doesn't want to know how to cook, or do anything. He just sends out his demands. Wait until he demands a crying baby to be quiet, he will get a kick into touch with reality

He needs a large tablespoon of nonGMO maturity and a gluten free kick in his quinoa rump

I can understand if one of them were seriously ill but I think he's just expecting too much. He needs to grow up quickly!...he's about to become a parent.
There are so many takeout options these days that I don't really see the need for meal trains unless there is a financial hardship.

I realize things are vastly different than when I had kids (they are almost 50 and 45). DD was born early on a Saturday am. I lost a lot of blood and was in the hospital until Wed. Had a transfusion. Mom and Dad came to hospital on Sunday.day after she was born. I told them to come up the next weekend. They both still worked. I was a grown woman and didn't need them to take off work and come hold my hand. They came and of course Mom brought food. Everytime DD squeaked my Mom went running to the cradle (1st grandchild). She wanted me to sit and "take it easy". Nope, I can cook,do laundry and feed and change the baby. Geeez, unless you have a C section you are normally pretty mobile.
My friend's daughter was out the next day with the baby in a sling at an local outdoor festival.

Sounds like a loser to me. I feel bad for his wife and the new baby.

Nobody seems to have acquired self sufficiency...no one helped me or my friends with our babies and I never even thought to ask. When dh came home at night it was his turn to play with baby and I made dinner.I was tired but young enough to keep going..couldn’t do that now. My friends daughter is having a baby and she is moving home with her bf so gma can help with the baby...DD says it will be too stressful for them in a place of their own.

@Catty2 wrote:Boo Hoo! If he's not joking I feel sorry for the baby. Why not start cooking now and putting meals in the freezer. Also, maybe he could cook a few meals after his wife and baby come home from the hospital. What a concept! lol
That was my thought. In the time it took to create his master plan, source his recipies and put his plan into action, he could have been cooking up some meals and getting them into the freezer.
