Don't like this idea at all. She knows how to dance. She does not know how to judge. She needs to just stick to dancing - leave the acting and judging to others more qualified.

They have a lot of guest judges that don't know anything about dancing, much less judging,....but they were one time guest, I guess she is going to be every week?

I'd prefer to see her dance, but she is a professional dancer so she should be able to judge. I haven't watched the last 3 seasons, I think the show's in the toilet.

How do you think any judge for anything starts out. All the judges were great dancers
at one time. Who knows better than someone who has been judged and knows how to choreograph a dance?

Look around the internet on some of the site that announced this news and the comments are not in her favor.....we all know how much DWTS like controversy so add a controversial judge will just be in tune with everything else they do for ratings.....as long as this show is competing for ratings with The Voice it is going to get lower ratings.

When American Idol decided to use a 4th judge ... it didn't work. Too monotonous listening to 4 people ... 3 is sufficient, regardless of who it is.

Of course I realize that the judges are/were dancers but the difference is they are seasoned. Julianne does not have the years of dance behind her that Len, Bruno and Carrie Ann have. I don't think she'll add anything to the show. Three judges is enough.

The comments about her are brutal. Nobody seems to like this idea

I'll give her a chance, too. They like controversy on shows like this, it builds interest. I wouldn't be surprised if she'd been encouraged to be edgy.

Nothing against her being a judge but really, how impartial can she be in her voting with her brother in the mix. Especially if it comes down to voting in the finals.
