Hope Tamar will be ok. I, too, think she came back for the second dance for Nick's sake. She probably also hoped she would be feeling better by next week. I understand that she only found out later about the blood clots. I do not blame her for leaving. Clots are nothing to mess around with.

I also wanted to comment on the statement that Tamar was the best dancer. I believed Val when he said that it was purposely taken out of the context by the show. He was very adamant and urgent about it. I seem to remember Val saying in earlier segements that she had no confidence and he was trying to build her up.

I think when Tamar was saying that, it was probably as a confidence exercise, like "I think I can, I think I can." Val probably told her that for her to do her best, she had to believe it. That's just how I took it anyway. I think she knows that she was good but not really the best dancer....but it doesn't hurt to try to think it when practicing.

I doubt they will bring Alexa back, more likely there will just be no elimination. This close to the finale, they really don't have any more people to spare. I feel sorry for Val. He had at least a chance to make it to the semis and maybe the finale with Tamar. I guess that is just the breaks with this show.

IMO, Alexa leaving really had no bearing on on the situation with Tamar. Alexa is a really fine dancer, skilled enough to go all the way but she was often in the bottom anyway, not because of her judge's scores but because she apparently was not getting the home vote.

It seems to me like if enough people really wanted Alexa on the show, she would still be there and Alek (who is as cute as can be but is just not as good as the others) or someone else would have gone instead.

Alexa just doesn't have the fan base, hence she is gone. That is not Tamar's fault.

I felt bad for Alexa too. I liked her, but it seems like every season, someone goes who is a really, really good dancer.....

Edited to add: I just saw a story on Yahoo from TV Guide online that said producers are talking with Alexa about coming back, so maybe she will. You never know!

The only problem with bringing Alexa back, if she went on to win the whole thing. It would not be fair imo. (Just like when Idol used the save card) I hope Bindi wins it all.

But I agree with you on both counts @missy1 - As much as I'd like to see Alexa return, skipping an elimination may be the most equitable thing to do for the other contestants. I guess we shall see! And I hope Bindi takes home that mirror ball too!!

I would love to see Alexa come back. I don't see how that would work, though, considering nobody could have voted for her last week.

Huh?? I think my comment was pretty benign... and my intent certainly was not to invalidate anyone's opinion. I just thought you (and the rest of the posters) would be interested in that People story, since you replied directly to my previous post. I respect everyone's opinions. And I think yours could very well be correct...

i think alexa should come back......and i have no doubt she is practicing just in case. the other option would be to NOT have an elimination this upcoming week.

Didn't they bring somebody back one time? I want to say they did.

In light of Tamar's withdrawal, I think Alexa should come back.

Hi @brii - I really thought they did as well, but I checked Wiki and couldn't seem to find any info on it. I wonder if anyone else remembers? Well I guess we'll find out soon enough!
