....and they really are made of sugar paste!  Her work is astounding.

Natasja Sadi is a Dutch floral artist and bridal wear designer of Indonesian and African descent, who emigrated to Amsterdam from Suriname with her mother at the age of four.

She has always been influenced by artists Rembrandt and Vermeer, among others, as well as natural blossoms, and lives and creates in an old canal house in Amsterdam.

These below are all made of sugar, astonishingly.

Can't imagine how intricate they must be to make.  Natasja says that they take "a long time".   I guess so!

She does offer a master class in Amsterdam, and has a book as well:

Beautiful!  Amazng how real they look! 

I knew a woman in my art class who was fond of taking many different types of art/craft classes and one of them was making sugar flowers.  She made some very beautiful pieces.
