I live in Charlotte and this morning, on the news, there was a story of a woman who had a little 10 lb pug that she let outside to do her business, in her fenced in backyard yesterday. She left her out for 15 minutes. When she went to let her in, she was dead from the heat. Dogs don't sweat and our news said that small dogs are especially vunerable. They said if you let you dog out, go out with it and watch it closely. Smushed nose dogs, like a pug are especially vunerable. The owner was very devastated.
