Re: DOCK WORKERS STRIKE?

[ Edited ]

As anticipated, the hoarding mentality has already kicked in, even for items where it's unnecessary due to misunderstanding, false reports and bad information.   Very sad.

If it affects sales by Temu then not quite a bad thing.  Less government in our lives is the best to me.  They wanted a Union then deal with having a Union.

       I totally agree.

I disagree. Everything I have read said we are in for a long hard road on this one. Also, the stores are already selling out. Pretty soon they will be out of those products in their warehouses.

I wouldn't worry about the holidays.

Retail plans months in advance in their distribution centers.

This Longshoremen Strike will create what it is intended. On both sides

The UNION and the govt...

It's called a POLY-Crisis.

Where are you in general and what is your store out of?

I can't see how that would happen in a day.

Item on the 5 o'clock news reported that the workers at Kimberly-Clark in Wisconsin are prepared to work overtime if tp shortages occur.  They are represented by the United Steelworkers Union.

My stores weren't out of anything today but there is a lot of video of stores that people had their carts loaded.

people on this thread have stated their Costco and Sam's were already out of TP.

I use Sam's TP and it says made in the US with global products. That is where the issue comes in. They won't be getting the product to make the TP.

I watched a lot of news today and the head of the union has dug his heels in and unless their demands are met they will not be returning to work. He said he will cripple our economy.

Everyone has to do you and what you feel comfortable doing.

I stated upthread that my Costco's supply of tp and pt was normal and people were not loading up.  @Maizie Green

I will skim the thread again.
