Re: DO YOU USE FUEL POINTS FOR GAS ?

There's no grocer where I shop that offers points but I want to look into Gas Buddy.

Thanks to posters here I can check prices before I leave the house but it seems their debit card offers a flat rate of 25 cents off per gallon?

I'm still WFH but as prices seem to be skyrocketing everywhere I'll take a small discount where I can!

Re: DO YOU USE FUEL POINTS FOR GAS ?

Not anymore.  One grocery store we used to shop in religiously.  But a real hassle.  And they are often overpriced in the first place.  We use Costco, gas best price around and we get points for all our purchases for shopping there which amount to a yearly check.

Re: DO YOU USE FUEL POINTS FOR GAS ?

I shop for one so I don't rack up alot of points  and secondly I don't have to use alot of gas any more, retired. No , I have never bothered with a few cents off. We used to have $1.00 off for each gas visit and I used those ,but since Covid no they are  longer offered in our Shopper paper.

Re: DO YOU USE FUEL POINTS FOR GAS ?

None of our grocers in my area (that I'm aware of) offer this type of program. But even if they did, I doubt I'd use it. Gas is fairly cheap now, plus we're retired so we don't use much gas. The only rewards program I use is with Walgreens. I get $5 to $10 off purchases every few months, and that works for me.

Re: DO YOU USE FUEL POINTS FOR GAS ?

Yes, I use fuel points.  Sometimes it is $.30 a gallon, sometimes $.50 a gallon.  And, the station that I go to always is the same price as other stations, so the discount does make a difference.  There is no minimum limit of gallons so I fill up at the end of the month before my points expire.  I am retired so I don't put as many miles on the car as I used to so I only get gas once a month.

Re: DO YOU USE FUEL POINTS FOR GAS ?

I just used fuel points the other day.  I saved 50 cents per gallon.

Re: DO YOU USE FUEL POINTS FOR GAS ?

I always used them when I lived in Illinois. Here in Florida, the only grocery store that does this is Winn-Dixie. The closest store is too far away, so I don't go there. I wish Publix would do this!

Re: DO YOU USE FUEL POINTS FOR GAS ?

Of course!   I only need to buy gas about every 8 weeks, but I can save 30-cents a gallon every time I fill up.  Why wouldn't I?
