No. I find I have to keep on my toes just living my own life.
TV and movies are more a temporary respite but I don't immerse myself or absorb the characters into my life. Old TV shows are now totally unrelatable for me.
Books are the closest things that I can think of that I can get lost in for a while.

It seems to me if you don't get lost a little that the writers and actors aren't doing their jobs.If I can be easily distracted, it's not really worth my time.

I sometimes get lost in certain TV shows. I have a cable channel that shows foreign shows with subtitles. I love most of the Italian shows and imagine what it would be like to live there.

Sometimes I need a distraction like when my Dad passed away several years ago. After the funeral, all the family flew home and the casseroles stopped coming from the neighbors. I didn't want to make conversation on the phone or deal with my feeling yet. Watching someone else handle their troubles began to help me deal with mine.

I see posters here getting lost in others' lives of people they l-o-a-t-h-e.
They'll read the facebook pages.
Then on to twitter.
Then to instagram.
They'll tear apart the person they l-o-a-t-h-e because the mean comments are deleted on facebook.
They'll pick apart the pictures posted on instagram.
They'll snort at the tweets put out.
At the end of the day, I guess they feel good about it.
They roll over and light up a cigarette.

What if they don't smoke?

They just cuddle.

I guess I'd say, I'd be happy being a fly on the wall. I love to lose myself in a good story in a show, as an observer. I don't want to analyze it and take all the fun out of it. I treat it like It's the 1st time I've watched it. How else do we get through all the Christmas shows every year? I lose myself in each one, like it's the first time I've seen it. What fun. After all that's whey we can kids again, or relive childhood good memories. Works for me.

No. Because I seem to struggle just to keep up in my own.
