I called them last week as soon as I saw Fox running the notice about Dish dropping them soon. Went online also to fill out the petition about this. I am going to get a $20 per month discount for 6 months, unless I decide to drop them.

Today was the first time I have called them in 11 years where I had a 20 minute wait time, even on Sundays. They said they are overloaded with calls from their unhappy Fox Network watching customers. I would think it is a bluff, but I have called them enough times over the years and have never had over a 5 minute wait time. I am expecting them to settle this soon because of so much customer demand. I hope I am right on this!

I was upset when it was gone this morning, then I turned QVC on instead. A few weeks without the news may be a blessing in disguise.

There are other channels or networks to watch the news.

If they have to drop something, they made the right choice.

If TWC ever dropped FOX even for a week, I would drop them in a minute!!

John, I hope you'll try other networks for TV news. CBS in the morning is good, no silly waving noisy crowd in the street. In the evening, both Lawrence O'Donnell and Rachel Maddow are top notch. You will be informed. Set down any preconceived biases and relax, you don't know what you don't know.

I do concur that it is highly annoying to have any favorite show bumped. Life does go on!

No, they aren't.

I can't imagine DISH keeping Fox News off for long. Too many angry customers.

A few months ago when Dish dropped a channel I watched after 2weeks I went to Direct tv -biggest mistake ever. After a few months channel back on Dish and so I went back to Dish very happily. Will never make this change again - when channels are dropped I will wait and they then come back. Direct tv was just not a patch on Dish just my opinion.

Each of these calls costs them money. With the long wait times you described and the fact that Fox is the #1 cable news channel by far, it must be very expensive for Dish. Good luck finding new customers too if they don't settle this.

There are so many other news channels. I think Fox News can encourage negative characteristics in viewers. . People who complain, complain and gripe about America. I actually blocked the channel a few years ago. But that is me. I certainly would be mad if it was a channel I loved! It is all about free choice. Sometimes they give a last minute "reprieve", and then give a spiel about "how DISH listens to their customers" LOL

Wasn't it a few months ago they were going to drop CNN? CNN is still there. It is all about the money.
