SO THE FLOODING IN TEXAS. A SHERIFF CAME UPON A DOG, CHAINED OUTSIDE A HOME WITH WATER UP TO HIS NECK! THE OWNERS JUST LEFT THIS DOG!!!

WHAT KIND OF A SO-CALLED HUMAN WOULD DO THIS? IF YOU CAN EVACUATE YOUR HOME ,YOU CAN TAKE 30 SECONDS TO TAKE YOUR DOG!!!

ANYWAY, THE SHERIFF AND HIS FAMILY ADOPTED THIS DOG AND THE AFTER PICTURES ARE SO HEARTFELT!!! YOU CAN TELL THE DOG THAT HAD LIVED ON THIS CHAIN WAS BEING SPOILED ROTTEN BY THIS NEW FAMILY!!

DON'T EVER, EVER OWN A DOG IF YOUR GOING TO KEEP IT CHAINED OR NOT TAKE IT WITH YOU DURING A STORM!!!!

At t5he very least they should have unchained it! At least give it a chance!

Most shelters do not allow pets I believe.

I remember my former FIL telling me about people having to leave their pets at home when they headed to the bomb shelters during the bombing of London during WW11.

Saw it ... cried! So thankful that they saved that baby, but how many more didn't make it because of idiots!?

When we flooded ... first thought was our dog and our neighbors pets. Grabbed him and his food ... left screaming at others to do the same. We all made it. Never leave a child, animal, person behind if you can get them out.

I hurt for the animals that get trapped in fields and barns and the wild.

Never leave my pups behind... Ever....

Fell off a ladder, my Chihuahua came to my rescue and stayed with me until my hubby found me. She did not leave me behind.

My grandson was about to fall off the sofa, he fell asleep. My Chihuahua went and got my daughter in time to catch him. She did not leave him behind.

A dog at a rest stop when I was walking my Chihuahua lunged toward me. My little gal took him on and sent him packing.. Feisy little thing! She did not leave me behind.

I'm HAPPY to hear that this dog was adopted and is in a safe and loving home.

I also believe 2 things - "KARMA is a B" and "What goes around comes around".

Some people, like these owners, should NEVER own pets.

I would never leave my dog behind. They go or we all stay.

Years ago, my husband and I were visiting someone who lived in a mobile home and we had our dog. A tornado warning was issued while we were there so the couple that lived there told us to come up to the shelter in the center of the mobile home park with them. We did and of course, took our dog.

The park manager came over to us and told us that no one loved dogs more than he did but animals weren't allowed at the shelter, they had to be left in the home. I looked at him, told him if he really loved his dog, it would be with him and we walked away, back to the mobile home to take our chance, with our dog. Luckily there was no tornado.
