@chrystaltree.  "Some shopping channel" was QVC.  She sold a lot of denim pieces and sportswear on TV.

I didn't know she had been on QVC. She's one of my favorite people and Designing Women is  possibly my favorite show ever, or close to it! In every article I've read about her, she seems to be a humble caring person. Her husband is one of my favorite people too. Of course I LOVE his character on This is Us, but I knew him from Designing Women and Major Dad too. Just two great people, as far as I'm concerned. I love their story, and their chemistry on Designing Women was off the charts!

I've always liked Delta Burke (I've seen her on other shows over the years) and record ruruns of DW every night. I loved Gerald McRaney when he played her ex, Dash Goff.

I ADORED him in one of my top 10 favorite shows, Major Dad. I was so sad and disappointed when it went out of production.

The main reason was that the actress who played Polly, his wfie, signed to do another series and the series never got picked up.

I've seen them on a couple of interviews over the years and they are a darling, sweet couple.

Gerald McRaney is even more amazing(and chilling) when he plays bad guys. Deadwood and Longmire are two examples.

Loved the series Gerald did "Promised Land" a spin off I believe from Touched by and Angel. Also loved him in Jericho.

She always had a serious weight problem and was constantly gaining and losing weight.  One night when she was on QVC she suddenly started sobbing and left the set.  She didn't return, in fact, I can't recall that she was ever on again.  Of course the viewers never knew what the problem was.  I think she was rather fragile and had some emotional problems.  Hopefully she's happier these days.

First of all I LOVED THAT SHOW,made me laugh so much,sure could use that now,she was a real beauty ,and nice ,loved gerald, hey we all age,either that or die.
