We have a work crew for the next few days, installing Trex composite decking around the patio.  The deer are curious but not really coming into the yard.  They are able to get to their water tubs without too much trouble.

Wow I hope they like the project. Lol! Our deer this year have become very tame. They draw the line though. They are still several feet from our house.

@MamaWick

No matter how many photos, I just love seeing the deer  ---it brightens my day.....

So will your new patio have a carrot distribution center for the deer?  And what about a special area for Cricket?

Stopping by the Wick Watering Hole for refreshment...

I imagine the beautiful deer will wait and see what happens.  After the project is finished, they will sense quiet and safety and be back full force.

Thank you for the updates, MamaWick. Inside me has always been a wannabe Jane Goodall.  Chimpanzees were always "my thing."  You have your deer.

Well done, composite decking is beautiful.  The dear deers look curious, surprisingly so I must say.

Their pics are so sweet, I love seeing them.

Perhaps not many are coming by because they're at the polls today (*wink*)

Have a beautiful day Mama!

@MamaWick   Love how you have more than one foreperson/deer to supervise the job.

What a hoot to see them. How do the people working on your patio react to the deer?  If  it were me, I wouldn't get any work done because I'd be admiring the deer.

I wake up every morning with deer sleeping in my yard, also they poop evrywhere, so not a big fan. Just wondering ,do you mow your yard or is that your yard?  I have turkey , fox squirrels ,rabbits and every type of bird you can imagine, just one dissappointment. I have never seen an owl here, but do hear screech owls in the woods. If I didn't have my yard mowed and trimmed I'd probably not care.

@HLP What you see in these pictures is an empty lot next to us.  Our backyard is small, grass, and pretty green.  Yeah, they poop in it.  Some are big clumps and easy to pick up.  Others are what I call deer berries.  DH and I have a small, pliable plastic rake to scoop them into a shovel.  Not too hard.
