She had a mouthful of carrots.  Her neck is healing quickly.

Has Cricket shown any improvement with the new medication?

That was a nasty cut on the neck.  Do you suppose barbed wire ripped her?  I imagine they get many cuts jumping fences.

Poor little Cricket must know she is soooo adored and she adores in return.

@MamaWick

I love to observe the love you have for your Cricket.  I wish that all pet owners were so loving.

Thank you again for the photos. I bought some carrots to put out this evening, in hopes that the doe and her fawn that visit our yard will eat them.

Blessings to all the animals in your world -- and especially to Cricket.  Ah, she is so comfortable and at peace in your loving arms, MamaWick.  Thank you for letting us see her so often.  So many of us love her; she has touched our hearts   It is odd but true.

Re: DEER Tuesday 07/20/2021

Every pic posted of little Cricket melts my heart. I'm so glad she is surrounded by such care and love. You've been very lucky to have one another.

Now, if we could just find some magic (heck, good, or bad) to be able to keep our furbabies healthy and free from aging (unfairly so dang fast), I doubt there would be many who wouldn't use it.

They are a piece of our heart. We will, and should fight for them, just as you've been doing @MamaWick .

How wonderful to see Tracy healing so well.  I guess I did not realize she was injured so badly.

More touching pictures of Cricket and Mama Wick.  Both the deer and Cricket have so many fans, and rightly so. And, of course, Mama and Papa Wick are heroes to all who treasure our animal friends.

The deer seems well and extremely grateful for her carrots dispite her injury. What sweet pics of you and little Cricket @MamaWick. Nothing but pure love. Heart

Sadly animals in the wild go through difficult times of injury and harm.  They all have to be on guard for animal and human predators.  I am glad the doe is healing and part of all the deer's healing is being at a safe haven , the Wick's!

I must say the pictures of MamaWick and Cricket  touched my heart.  The love and care the Wick's provide for their sweet Cricket is inspiring and Cricket is in the best of hands.

@MamaWick   Your pictures with Cricket are so precious.  Save them so you can frame them.

So the Doe got caught with the carrot in her mouth and I could not help but laugh with her mouth so full.  The deer endure physical contact with something and they have the scars to prove it.   Great pictrures.
