Our forest friends look calm and content as they always do when they gather at the Wick's., the close up photos showing the lovely features.  Of course, my favorite, the doe standing on the edge of the tall wild grass!

Cricket is at rest looking comfy!  All feels good!!!!!

The deer look like they're happy.  Her Majesty, Queen Cricket looks ravishing as usual!!!

Question: do you have a vegetable garden?  Do you grow tomatoes?

We are in the Northeast.  We have a short summer and short growing season due to the climate-early fall and winter-cold..you know.  Anyway, our garden was growing well.  This morning I went out to water the tomatoes and green peppers.  Surprise!  Some deer ate the tops off the tomato plants last night!  Not all of them, but just because they couldn't get to them.  We have planted tomatoes for years and the deer have never bothered with them before.  They are not fenced, but they are in raised beds, which should be a bit difficult for the deer to get to them...evidently not.

Any advice, anyone?

@MamaWick   The deer have such beautiful eyes and eyelashes.  Love how they speak to you too.

Does she always put her left front paw inside her harness?   Can she get it out herself or does she need help?  💕

@Spurt    Now that is a sweet photo.  Deer are gentle souls who will get along with just about everyone -- animals and humans.

I'm not sure if that's the same doe in every pic but regardless, just beautiful!!  Always love the close-ups too!

And there is darling Cricket gettin her usual beauty rest, which she doesn't need as she's always beautiful!  Hugs to her!

@PARedbird. Good eye.  That is indeed the same doe.  She was the only one who came when I rang the bell.
