Hi everyone.  I love the 2nd picture with the Buck resting in the grass and the last picture of the Buck finishing a delicious carrot.  @MamaWick   You really take beautiful pictures.  Happy weekend everyone.

Beautiful deer and love that buck with his tongue out.  He just can't wait for more delicious carrots.  Thank you Mama Wick for loving and caring for these animals.  Did you ever watch Jimmy Houston Outdoors on You Tube?  He and his wife, Chris, feed deer on their ranch in Oklahoma.  Chris had a stroke and feeding the deer is part of her therapy.  They come right up to her on their porch.  It is very similar to what you and Papa Wick do for these beautiful creatures.

It is always a positive time when I come to MamaWick's post.  Seeing the bucks , their antlers in full bloom, the closeup of the long eyelashes of the deer,  ready for their meals.  Glimpses of nature's gifts, her gentle creatures at their favorite rest stop and haven.  I know there will always be a smile for me, an feeling of peace and quiet which I welcome. My day is good when visited by nature.

Oh my, that buck is either sticking out his tongue at you because you won't give him more carrots, or, he's licking his lips because they were delicious.

@Yahooey  When the velvet is all rubbed off, the antlers stop growing.  The velvet supplies the veins & arteries to supply the blood & nutrients to grow the antlers.  When the velvet is rubbed off, the bone remains & stops growing.
