And that last-awww! I feel like you gave us the ability to hug and pet him-it is so real we could just reach out and pet those soft antlers, sweet head and ears. That must have been like a dream memorable moment.

The first photo is outstanding ! It is as though I opened a book filled with nature photography and that photo was among them!!!! Perfect!

@KatieB. While the antlers grow, they are velvety and vascular with the blood nourishing the antlers. In a few months, the bucks will do everything they can to rub the velvet off. The velvet sometimes hangs off the antlers and is icky. Usually around February, they lose the antlers totally and velvety regrowth starts anew.
