Those sweet faces.

Last night late I saw the deer family after one raced past me. Then I saw 2 pairs of bright eyes, then the family.

It was so unusual to see them out this late.

Maybe they know I would love to see themSmiley HappyHeart

Because I saw so much greenery in your yard and its environs, I never even thought that you had cactus in your area.

It is such an odd juxtaposition for me to see, deer with cactus.  For me, it's always been deer with oak trees and the other East Coast "regulars."  Therefore, that photo presented a striking contrast for me.

That shot was a real experience, MamaWick.

@golding76   we live in Texas, so...cactus 🙂  that prickly pear is in the lot next to us.  We have them on both empty lots, both sides.  So pretty when they bloom.

MamaWick, I remember that you live in Texas, but I thought that maybe your area wasn't as dry as other parts since I did not see any cactus until today.

Maybe you photographed cactus before and I missed it.

I always see the deer eating at the Wick's as a safe time for them and in turn it gives me a feeling of calm and a smile .  I welcome that .

@MamaWick. I often look at your photos and wish there was a deer groomer. Some of those coats look really rough!
