I went to our new neighbor's behind us to let out their dog. The deer followed me over, and a doe had a staring contest with their dog.

HOW very interesting. The dog almost looks shocked! The deer looks like a kind gentle lady looking down on the pup! She is a beauty!

and what did Willow think of her new friend? What did her friend think of Willow? The deer has such a gentle expression on her face.

Oh I see! It is not Miss Willow but the neighbor's dog. So yes, who won the staring contest?😳😅

I know Willow has been out on a leash with the deer. Is she wary of them or knows them as friends now?

I have received videos showing deer playing with dogs. They romp around the yard and seem like they are having fun. I have also watched other animals bonding with different species. Of course I am sure there are dogs who might not take to the deer and visa versa. But at least they are just sizing each other up for a possible friendship!!!!

The photo of the Bambis makes my heart sing, what a beautiful picture of nature's children. I put that photo in the print and frame category where so many of MamaWick's photos fit in . The innocence and sweet faces are sights to behold!!!!

I am glad your neighbors, MamaWick, have offered to take care of the deer when you and PapaWick are away. It is so refreshing to see youngsters learning how to respect and care for wildlife!!!! Hope the Princess is having a good day!
