I cried when I heard this news. It is unbelievable and shocking. Prayer for the Reiner family. Rob Reiner was a good person. Loved him.

Re: DEADLY MYSTERY AT ROB REINER'S HOUSE

Chiming in here...apparently Nick had been a handful since he was a very young child.  Has gotten progressively worse as time marched on.  So many ups and downs with him.  Very sad that at the very young age that he was diagnosed with whatever it might be.  My heart breaks for all of them, yes even Nick.  He now knows his life is over.

It will be interesting to see how his attorney handles this.  IMO you can't say he's innocent.  We know he did it but reason of insanity is not going to work.....

Re: DEADLY MYSTERY AT ROB REINER'S HOUSE

He's hired Alan Jackson as his lawyer.  Amazing how fast he did that and you can bet AJ will use every argument in the book to get him off, like he did with Karen Read and others.

I wonder where the money is coming from to pay for Jackson?  I doubt he's doing it pro bono.

Look at Luigi Mangione's defense team.

They aren't saying he didn't commit the crime, but are leaving no stone unturned to get every possible bit of evidence tossed from trial.  Clever legal maneuvering is all it takes sometimes.

I hope that Nick will plead guilty to avoid a trial to spare the family and friends.

His attorney will never allow that.

Re: DEADLY MYSTERY AT ROB REINER'S HOUSE

NYT reporting sources from family, people who were there, and specifics that are on public file from legal hearing

1)nick lived in guest house, far back yard

2)Fight , or argument at party was over blown,

3) they said many things said in media weren't true, or exaggerated.

4)Rob did not leave party as stated earlier

5) argument reported was way off base

6) massage therapist had appt with couple.  knocked , no answer.  Went accross street to get Romy. She checked, found Dad, called 911

7) coroner hasn't determined TOD death.

. It is said she didn't know mom was dead at that point. Although report said both were in MB.

@THEY CallMe Mr Wilkes

People criticized Nick living in the guest house, but at times, he was totally functional.

He was a screenwriter with an estimated net worth of $1 to $3 million.

It'll be interesting to see what his attorney does with all this.

This is such a tragedy for their family and friends, especially the children.  Either Nick was under the influence of something or he has some serious unresolved mental health issues.
