This will be the  trial and court case of 2026, along with that of Luigi Mangione.   (Unless something bigger comes along.)

There will undoubtedly be testimony by all sorts of celebrity witnesses as to what they knew and heard and saw.

Could be the celebrity trial of the century.   Subpoena Conan's entire guest list to testify.

I bet Conan O'Brien is heartsick over how the argument was handled at his party the night before the murders.

can you imagine?? . .

. .   what now, the "discovering" sister/daughter, family members, loved ones, friends, neighbors, and indeed involved others now carry with themselves?  . . .  & have to continue to carry & deal with, . .  for the remaining of their own residually remaining lives? Woman Frustrated

gosh, we need to really, really try to be so caring with other people ...

I hope that Nick will plead guilty to avoid a trial to spare the family and friends.

I would add C Kirk to that list.

Re: DEADLY MYSTERY AT ROB REINER'S HOUSE

I read that Nick had been in and out of rehab 18 times. Maybe the big mistake was allowing him to live at home. He was unstable and drug addicted. Other arguments could have occurred but this one escalated to murder. What state of mind must one be in to slit your parents' throats. It is beyond horrific.

Why are some still reporting the Reiner's passed away?

I don't believe it is questionable they were murdered.

@febe1

Still reporting?  Are you kidding?

The murders are a big story and new developments will be reported as the information is released.

IMO, it'll be a big trial and we'll be hearing about it for months.

It's a very shocking ... and very sad ... story.

@Tinkrbl44 I'm talking about media reporting Reiners have "passed away" instead of saying they were murdered.

Saying "passed away" is like saying they died of natural causes.

They had multiple stab wounds and slashed throats: that's murder.

to add to some posters comments about Nick living at home. It wasn't always true. He disappeared constantly , once for over a year or more. He did this A LOT. Starting in teen years.  No contact, during his homelessness. He lived by itself and with others.   I could be wrong, but he may not have been living in his parents home at time of death. He lived on one of his parents properties. Just like his daughter lives in a home they owned across street. I know Nick at one time lived near West Hollywood, near Burbank. Rob and Michelle owned many homes. In LA, property an investment for cash. Like a bank...but better.
Also, there is a lot of stuff out in media now, that isn't necessarily fact about the actual murders   We don't know the police report  yet. about the murders. Anything that was said at the party, overheard by a couple,  I am sure is under advisement now. What was actually said at party,..Nothing has been officially released.  When one hears a lot of this stuff you have to concider the source. If it doesn't come from coroner, the LAPD, the family or the lawyers , it isn't official fact.

If you haven't had a chronically drug addicted child, you have little idea how to manage them.  What the experts say to do doesn't always work.  You have to live with that ****** to know. The best of parents sometimes have the worst of kids. Kids that are internally broken and resistant to being fixed.

@febe1   if you are talking about the initial news conference with Mayor Bass there was a reason for saying passed away. It was a few hours after news was reported to media. Nothing was final at that point,  and the coroner, and CSI were still on the scene. A day later , after Nick was arrested, the DA announced Nick Reiner was being charged with murder, with special circumstances of multiple murders, and using a knife.  That's when that was official. Before that it was NOT Mayor Bass or the PD depts job to intimate anything, other than the Reiners were passed, dead. Everything is by the book, and prodicol is first and foremost to protect case

Re: DEADLY MYSTERY AT ROB REINER'S HOUSE

The parents supposedly didn't want to take the advice of therapists when Nick was younger. I've seen this happen in my family. They din't want "labels" applied to their kid.

Nick was on a podcast laughing about destroying the guest house the Reiners allowed him to stay in. Sorry hes a spoiled rotten brat. Its a shame also he said his  father had no time for him growing up. who overcompensates for this usually the mother.
