I'm about 2 miles from Wegman's. I go around 8 a.m. on Fri. mornings. It was a bit busier than usual, but I got in a check out lane with someone just finishing up and was out in a few minutes. My sister will be going there and to Walmart tomorrow, so I'm sure it will be a big mess.

@QVCkitty1 ITA about what you said about Wegmans. The Wegmans in central NY I go is a dream...........and I don't like grocery shopping. I really don't mind going there at all. I can find anything and everything, they are always helpful and the store is clean and neat!

@CrazyKittyLvr2 I don't know why, but my ADD kicks in big time when I go to Wegman's. I can't find anything and I go back and forth and forth and back! I usually go at Thanksgiving and Christmas to get things I can't get anywhere else (like the cheeses and shellfish), and it's a nightmare! Also, @ValuSkr my ShopRite was busy this morning, but not as bad as Senior Tuesdays! Hahaha!

Wegmans is the BEST! For those that don't know it's the Northeast to Middle Atlantic version of Publix. It's extremely big. With tons of food. In addition to groceries, its speciality foods, prepared foods, etc.

Wegmans is far from me, but when I got instacart, they gave that store to me. Major reason I keep instacart. Wegmans is moving further south, I think they are in North Carolina now. Hoping Publix will be moving further north. Can't wait to see them side by side!

@ninjawife Same timetable for the new Wegmans by me in northern VA. There are already three I could go to within a 20 mile radius, but this new one will be just 4 miles away! I cannot wait!

They are moving South. I think they want to pressure Publix by moving in to their territory. I believe they are in Norht Carolina now. (1 store so far)

@PA Mom-mom Granted, I haven't been in a grocery store in over a year. Husband does the grocery shopping. But when I have been in Wegmans, I only use it for different and special things. Great cheeses, fresh seafood, nice olives, etc. Shop Rite is for normal groceries.

I love my Wegmans, but easter holiday is the worst. My daughter worked there in the accounting office, and BY FAR easter was the busiest holiday.

I have started to use the Wegmans SCAN app, I set upmy ags in the cart, scan each item as i ourchase and sort into my bags.

When done, I go the the self checkout, scan again, insert credit card and Im gone

No contact..Faster, easier upacking. Sams club also has the SCAN app, but there you can pay from your ohine with an uploaded card.

Thewas to go in this day and age...

Strange picture............90% of shoppers don't even have a cart. I see - maybe - 4 people and one might have a 'walker'. Wegmens provides HUGE baskets for goodies - need a driver's license to operate. (almost).
