@Mombo1   Do you live in Williamsport?  I know people there.

Searing hot here today.  105F.  Tomorrow will be slightly cooler as the sky will be cloudy.  Storms tomorrow.  No cold front going through.  It will resume back in the 90's after the storms.  It's been this way over 3 weeks now.  Storms frequently, but won't break the heat.

Re: DD Said It Was 99 Degrees Leaving Work....

This has been an extremely hot summer for the Chicago area.  Starting in early June if I recall correctly high 80's low 90's.  It's suppose to go into the low 80's starting Wednesday this week.  Amen.  We could use a break.  I do not enjoy the hot, humid weather we have having,  I have difficulty breathing with my COPD.  I stay in.  This way I am safe and cool.

@Mombo1  I haven't been to Bloomsburg in many years.  Last time was for the fair.

We did go to Danville to the hospital when DH had cancer. His surgeon relocated there. It was ways for us but we liked his Dr. and went there. That size of that hospital is impressive. Our local hospital has less than 50 beds.

Oh, the Country Cupboard in Lewisburg makes a great day trip.

@CrazyKittyLvr2   Just curious...where do you live?  I am very close to Danville Hospital.  Yes very impressive.  Actually my son in law works there.   The staff is very nice.
As for the fair...hopefully they will cancel.  The front page of the paper today read: Council: Call off Bloomsburg Fair!   Fair officials will make the announcement by August 1st....I hope they do the right thing.  Sure isn't worth the risk with thousands of people packed into the fairgrounds everyday.
And as for Country Cupboard...it is one of my all time favorites. My brother and wife are from Pittsburgh and they take a day trip to meet me there when we can get away.  Great place to eat and shop.
   Nice chatting with you.

Re: DD Said It Was 99 Degrees Leaving Work....

I live about 45 min north of Pittsburgh.  Agree we have had quite a few days in the 90s.  I have learned as long and the humidity and dew points are lower it is hot but tolerable for me.   If humidity and dew points are elevated, it can be 75 out and I am miserable.

Last night we started a break in our weather pattern bringing cooler temps.  Right now it is only 76.

@CrazyKittyLvr2    Every home, business and car is thoroughly air conditioned.  I run errands early while it's cool.  The rest of the day we hunker down like they do in January in Minnesota.

On the other hand winter days are gorgeous.  I wear a jean jacket or sweater most days and there is plentiful sunshine.  Rare gray skies are a treat.

Yep Kachina, I call summer my "self-imposed quarantine time!!!"  And I think they need to build a statue in honor of the person that invented AIR CONDITIONING!!!

Now I LOVE what we call "winter" here in Texas.... Those cool crisp days....gray billowy slate colored skies....Woman Very Happy BUT I've visited relatives during winter in the Northeast and the 40 below temperatures, and being bundled up from head to toe after just a couple days it drove me crazy!!!!  So glad to get home....
