@wagirl

We ended up getting 9-10 inches of snow! Everything is closed again today as they work to clear the roads.

@SoCal Bred - We are in So. Cal. also - eastern Ventura County.  The new fire in Castaic has blown smoke into our area.  They say we are to have stronger winds tonight thru tomorrow.  Although we really need the rain, I hope it doesn't create more problems.  The firemen have more than they can handle now.  Edison says we are in a high fire risk area and have had a number of power outages during these wind events.  We lost power last week for a couple days but everything including all the food was okay.  These winds are so bad.  How are you dealing with the winds.  What area of So. Cal. are you in?  Stay safe.

@WORKING GAL - I live in the eastern San Gabriel Valley area (1/2 hr from downtown LA) fortunately we do not get the strong Santa Ana winds blown our way if we do the winds die down quickly.  We did get alot of smoke coming over the San Gabriel mountains from the Eaton fire, we had a few small brush fires burning in the foothills but they were quickly contained.  These firefighter's can't catch a break!

I hope you stay safe as well.

@Cakers3- Thank you for your bes wishes.  Another fire brokw out last night in San Diego area.  We are at 4% humidity today with strong winds, red flag alert.  Now there are worries about rain coming at the end of the week and into the weekend which could cause flooding in the burn areas.  The weather this winter has been brutal all over the country.  Be safe everyone.

@WORKING GAL  I hope you are ok.

@WORKING GAL   We left Studio City weds on 5, and we ran into the Hughes fire.  Just started, it picked up steam after we got over the grapevine, and they closed the highway back where the fire was. Just missed the worst. I prayed all the way for those poor people in their homes on the hill. Castiac I think. IMG_6934.jpeg
