@Greeneyedlady21 Listening to him & Peggy, he was tough on skaters and Peggy always tried to soften his comments!

condolences to his family    we watched him when he was an announcer at the Olympics figure skating competitions

Oh, I loved him so much!  He was just the best when he commentated the skating shows!  I told my husband - he WAS skating!  Yes, he was old school, but he knew his stuff and no cutting corners with Mr. Button.  He was charming and wonderful!  I remember him with Peggy Fleming doing the commentating on the skating shows.  He was a true legend!
