We watched a special on this the other night on what used to be called the Military Channel. Those poor boys. What a nightmare.

Yes it was a nightmare......so many died. It is wonderful that no one forgets.

My memory is jarred now. I actually met a WWII nurse AND her husband whom she met overseas. She was in an aerobics class I took years ago. Her husband was tall and thin but was perfect back then for being a tank commander (levers and clutches). They met overseas and came back and married. She was an angel - always kind and volunteering her time in homes and hospitals as she was a retired nurse and senior. As it was years ago, they both have probably passed on into glory. Such giving loving people.

I take no offense MurphiesLaw. I don't think we can mention enough for the generations who are afforded the liberties and privileges provided by those that serve.
