H-E-B, a large Texas grocer, has cakes in the bakery for Mother's Day.  Not just any Mother's Day cakes, though.  These are 8 inch cakes with plain white frosting and two decorating bags of icing (pink and purple) along with a bag of sprinkles.  The kiddos can decorate the cakes for mom themselves.  This may have been around, but the first time we've seen it.

This offer was also available at the local Festival grocery too.  A few kids and one young man appeared to be trying their hand at cake decorating at some tables set up in the bakery section.

Good idea. I'm hinting for a DQ ice cream cake.

That is a very cute idea. I would rather take the cake home and let the kids decorate it there. My grands would have a ball doing that.

It's a great idea.  There's a bakery near us that sells plain frosted cakes and cookies.  You can purchase a kit of sprinkles and decorating stuff.
