They are saying 4 to 6 more inches than what we already have. My neighbor said she was up at 4:00 this morning (couldn't sleep) and at that time it had just started to cover the roofs of our cars. You should see the huge mound of snow on the passenger side of my car. Think it will be a while before I will be able to get around that. Scott was here and plowed. He will be back later.

Preds.....they said on the weather channel that you should be getting some ice and they are trying to figure out if the schools will be closed in the morning.

St. Louis looks a lot like Indianapolis......on the weather channel now.

There are 116 trucks out on the roads working in St. Louis County. They are asking people to stay off the roads so they can get them cleared. There will be more trucks out later this afternoon.

They have closed the schools. We always get ice instead of snow. Rain is very near us, but not here yet. Snow is fine, but ice always shuts us down. They have sprayed the roads all day, but the rain will wash that away.

Yes, the rain will wash that treatment away. They use something like beet juice here when they are anticipating icy roads.

If you have a space heater, please be very careful using it. They are saying how many fires were started last night because of them......I think they said 60 something. They are telling folks not to leave them unattended.

It's doing what it does in Michigan in the winter. 25 degrees and dropping, snowing heavily with about 9 inches on the ground so far and the wind starting to pick up. I've been out a couple of times today and while the side streets are a bit sporty, the main roads in town are plowed and fine. And to think I actually WANTED to come back north for a bit.

Currently 68 degrees - but temps will be dropping this evening as the cold front moves in. We're expecting below freezing temps for the next couple of nights. That's a big deal down here.

Yes it is. We aren't used to the mess they get up North. Watch out for ice.

It's in the l0w 60s here at the moment. That's not such a good thing, though.

There's been a non-stop high pressure ridge for a month which hurts our air quality and which is somewhat responsible for a drought situation.
