-28 below zero with windchills of -53 below. Anyone wanna come for a visit? They are doing the polar plunge this weekend up here...jumping into the lake with bathing suits on.

0, with wind chill of -22. We're now up to 18 inches of snow and the wind blew so hard last night that my north and east facing windows on the first floor were completely covered with snow, giving me a cave-like feeling inside. Fortunately it only took me a few minutes to sweep the snow off with a broom. Now I'm quite impatiently waiting for my driveway and road to be plowed so I can get out. There's no way that my little car can get through 18 inches of unplowed snow and drifts, even with all wheel drive. I'm certainly no winter weather wimp, but I'm not stupid either.

Sounds like you have to work today. Ugh. I'm so glad to be retired so I don't have to go out in weather like this. Drive carefully!

It's suppose to be close to 30 by next Saturday according to wsaw. We all may be ready to skinny dip by then!

It's -22 here according to my car and our furnace is holding the house at 70 after several door openings. I had to run out and restock the cupboards at 7am because we were ravaged by the flu over the weekend and now everyone's hungry and poor mom didn't get out much this weekend except for water and a bank deposit. The shelves were pretty picked over at the store.
