I'm also a morning person. I like the morning because it's quiet and nothing bad has happened.

LOL EMT--I can't stay up till 2 a.m.!!!! I haven't stayed up that late in years. I've been up at 2 a.m. though. (meaning can't sleep past 2 a.m.)

I get up at 5:30, but if I didn't have to set the alarm, like in the summers, I could get up naturally around 7. My usual bedtime is around 9 (I am in bed at 9 but might read for a bit) but there are days where I could easily crash by 8. I have always required a lot of sleep and even as a child I would put myself to bed. My brother is a night owl. He could go to bed at 2 a.m. everyday, but it would probably kill him to get up at 5:30; he was the kind who could sleep until 1 or 2 on weekends while in college.

For nine long years, I had a ninety minute drive each way to work and work started at 8AM.
So in order to take care of everything at home and allow for weather conditions, I needed to wake up by 4:30 each morning.
Needless to say, I was sound asleep by 10 at night!
For some crazy reason. I haven't been able to change my habits. Now I get up by 5 and go to sleep by 11.

me too loves! I hate it. I really don't need a lot of sleep to begin with, but I don't like the fact that I can't stay up much past 10 and am up super early. When the time changes, and we fall backwards, it's even worse!

If you go to sleep by 7 pm that wouldn't be bad...LOL
I have had Insomnia for many years...

I'm with you on this one. As a person that has worked "evening shift(4-midnight)/graveyard(midnight-8) and day shift(8-4) I have had to adjust myself to many different sleeping hours.
Just not believing the "I can't stay up" thing if a person "has to" adjust to different hours of sleeping. Sure, I had trouble changing hours of sleep but I never felt of said "I can't stay up/awake".
Some quote circadian rhythm as the reason but I ain't buying that one either. To me there should not be any "I can't" in what is considered a normal part of being a human being. I understand health reasons and those are legitimate to me, but the ones that have none? Just sayin!

I guess we all have different sleeping issues. I am usually in bed by 8:00 and read for a little bit until I can no longer keep my eyes opened. Wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom then I am up between 4-5 for the day. I wish I could break this cycle, but it's been this way for years now, ever since chemo. I do believe hormones play a major role in our sleeping habits.
