Re: Curious - average age of the QVC customer

@Justshop   I have wondered the same thing frequently.  I have  also thought that some of the host bashers are not really shoppers just lurkers on the forum.

Re: Curious - average age of the QVC customer

I was at a family gathering last week.  My second cousin asked me how old I was, and I told her.  On my way home, I remembered that I already had my birthday this year, so I am one year older than I told her, lol.  Totally forgot my birthday happened - maybe I will just stay the same age from now on.

@Sooner wow glad you got a laugh but I'm not thrilled with your assmption of me. I didn't mention clothing in my post, I mentioned shopper. Sorry I'm not ready to be an old biddy and will continue to be as young as I feel. What a comment

@wifey2qt I'm just tired of people putting down older women--especially when other women do it.  No sin in being old, looking old, feeling old, dressing old or acting old.  It is as bad as any other prejudice to me.

And I'm speaking out about it. If any of us live long enough to be old we are blessed.  You've made clear what you think of older women.

Very curious as to why people who don't shop or haven't shopped QVC for many, many years would post on their forum site? 🤔

I find that curious too. Sure we talk about many topics but a lot of it has to do with shopping and products.  If I didn't shop here I would probaby be gone from the boards.

I had an Etsy shop for more than ten years and was active on their boards for most of that time.   Now that I no longer sell there I have no interest in their forum.

Re: Curious - average age of the QVC customer

I'm 56 and have been shopping QVC consistently since ~2004.  However, I mostly buy beauty products.  I don't buy as much fashion & my fashion purchases on QVC continue to decline due to my disatisfaction with the lines, except for Denim & Company.

Re: Curious - average age of the QVC customer

That's probably the average age of people on this board. I think the average age of the QVC customer is probably around 60. And that's aa huge problem for QVC.

Re: Curious - average age of the QVC customer

I am in my late 40’s. 2022 was the year of the most purchases. I read somewhere on the internet that QVC was targeting their sales towards women/people in their 40’s whose income level was in the higher working income. Basically, income that was above living paycheck to paycheck. I can see QVC’s marketing tactics being geared towards that age group. Based on the way they decorate program sets, the age of most of the hosts and the newer hosts are around the age of 40, give or take. And, those squares, of click here to watch this…., at the bottom right corner of the tv screen-that pop up on my screen, when I first tune into QVC, And I have to push a button to get it off of my screen…well, there was a rock and roll band on that square a few weeks ago, that was popular around the time I was in high school. Seeing that definitely made me realize that they are trying to get “the next generation” of QVC buyers lured in and hooked!

Also, I am not into social media and this is the only place where I do read and comment. And, who cares if anyone isn’t a regular buyer from QVC but enjoys reading these forums and commenting? These forums are about all different subjects, not JUST about QVC and all that goes with QVC! I and anyone else has the FREEDOM to read and post on ANY SITE they choose without having to be LABELED some stalker type of name! Good grief🥴

And, @Sooner, you could have just said your actual point to @wifey2qt, about the negativity you and others Feel about people having negative Comments about getting “old/older”, instead of making @wifey2qt feel bad about what she said about HERSELF.
I totally get the old thing. Yes, people don’t respect older people anymore and it seems that…wrinkles and drooping skin, crepe skin, and gaining weight from hormone levels are all practically labeled a disease these days! I literally stopped watching QVC as often because a lot of the times I was happening to tune in was when they were once again selling anti aging products! I HAVE some of these issues now, and I DON’T buy that stuff!! And I don’t find it appealing to see the results of someone’s face close up either. And I think to myself….we look like who we are. And anyone that knows is recognizes us for what we look like. And those small results are not even worth all the trouble and FOR WHAT?? It is our attitudes and actions that bring people closer to us or chases them away! Not one less wrinkle!!
BUT, if someone wants to make a joke about themselves…even if it is about getting older, it’s just them being lighthearted. And we all need to be a little more lighthearted, because most of us already know and don’t like the aging process-and how aging affects how people treat us as we get and look older. With love.💖

And I wonder what the average income is of those on these forums.

I can't even guess at that but there are a lot of posters who just don't have the income to shop with QVC. They did once but as they aged, their income did not keep up with prices. Those are the QVC haters on the board.
