Let's just fool the public into thinking something cheap is something great. Then we can pull the wool, or in this case, cellulose, over consumers' eyes. Let's charge $135.96 on sale and down from the regular price of $164.50, for a plain button down shirt made from this fabric. All we have to do is talk it up to sell it. We'll set the price higher for the item than other tops so customers perceive that if it costs more it must be better. Check out A387036 by Side Stitch One.

This sounds like footage from a J Crew sales team Zoom.

About
Cupro is a regenerated cellulose fiber that is produced by treating cotton cellulose with cuprammonium salt. It is especially known to resemble silk, and is also known as artificial silk.
Characteristics
Cupro fabrics breath like cotton, drapes beautifully, and look and feels like silk on your skin. Just like most other regenerated cellulosic fibers is possess low shrinkage characteristics, as well as good moisture absorbency and wrinkle resistant qualities. It has subtle luster and takes up dye very well - giving rich colored garments. A disadvantage with cupro is that it takes up stains very easily.
Good to know
The actual name for cupro is cuprammonium rayon due to the manufacturing process the cellulose has to go through.
Blends
Cupro and Viscose blends are common.
Aftercare
Delicate wash on 40°, using a mild cleaning product such as The Laundress Delicate Wash detergent. Do not bleach, medium heat iron, can be dry cleaned, do not tumble dry.

I guess you could also eat these clothes since cellulose is used as a filler for bulk and fiber in food products so there's that, I guess

We can make fun of them for it if we want to, though.

Sponges are made from cellulose too. Maybe the shirts are highly absorbent. Probably matter of time until we see Scrub Daddy pants.

The choice lies in the hands of the consumer...bottom line.

It sounds beautiful, a silk for vegans.

Honestly, as someone who would not wear silk, it's an option.
Have found that buying cruelty free products is just as expensive as not buying in many cases.
