@september @Laura14 @Greeneyedlady21 @goldensrbest @Sooner  I live in New England and just read a newspaper article where Rhode Island first wanted to target New York License Plates.  However, the ACLU intervened as discriminatory practice and the governor of Rhode Island now calls out all other state cars and asks them how long they are going to stay in Rhode Island if more than one day they require all visitors to quaranteen for 14 days.  Don't know how they will enforce this.  My friend who lives in Massachusetts reports she was pulled over to a ramp designated for out of state visitors crossing the interstate into Connecticut and told to turn back.

They definitely are not keeping people from crossing state lines.

Our Governor has finally ordered the shut down of Lodging businesses. Hotels, motels, rentals, etc. If they are occupied at the present time, they have this weekend and that is that. Our town has done that and more. All touristy type areas are closed. Lighthouse, beaches, parks, trails, playgrounds,etc. The Water department has delayed turning on seasonal water to homes til the end of April. All to stop people from traveling here.  I don't know what people are thinking.  We have the virus here also. Along with deaths. Stay at your primary residence. Don't do unnecessary traveling. Stop the spread.

So I am at home a lot now, like so many of us are, and the weather has been very nice so I've been in my yard a lot and I walk every day.

My neighbor across the street goes out in their 3 cars, multiple times a day.  I want to ask them, "WTF?"

You can call me Gladys if you like.  But geez, what aren't people understanding?

What are your thoughts about visiting a cemetery to place Easter flowers?

@lulu1 I would think that would be a private outdoor perfectly acceptable activity.  ❤️

That's something only you can decide, based on your own risk factors, and whatever "stay at home" mandates may be in place in your city and/or state. There's certainly nothing to preclude you from being outside. Much as posters like to insist that you must stay indoors, not a single order to date mandates that. But where are the flowers coming from? Do you have to go to a store to buy them? There's a risk to you and others right there. Who's going to the cemetery with you? If you're solo, that's one thing. A group of people who don't live in the same household? Even with appropriate social distancing it could be risky. What's the likelyhood that there will be large numbers of people at the cemetery? These are questions that only you can answer and then decide for yourself.

@chlema,

I won't be taking the risk.  Not worth it.  My younger nephew, a firefighter, is returning to work Monday after having the virus, my older nephew, a state trooper, is working next week, his wife is pregnant and my BIL is also a firefighter in CT and is keeping his distance from everyone.

I have been self quarantining since March 17, when my job ended.  Except for a dash run into Giant once a week and walks around my development, I have been in my apartment.

My mother called the transportation hotlines and supposedly they have roadblocks on I-95 and I-10 which is the Al-Ga border.  All they are supposedly doing is telling people if they test positive they have to quarantine for 14 days.

Since you can't get tested unless you are half dead or a first responder, no wonder people are just doing what they want to.  It's such nonsense.  Unfortunately, we're just going to have to put up with those who want out and can't sit still.
