Crocheting for Charity

I have begun making baby afghans for my church nursery (crocheted) and also mission trips. Seeking a way to cut down on yarn costs, possibly buying lots. Does anyone have info on purchasing low cost yarn for this purpose? I'm aware Q does not carry it. Grateful for any suggestions offered. Smiley Happy
