Re: Creating Your - "If I Go Missing" Notebook!

Husband and I actually have created this notebook.  I bought it on Amazon, it is called "I'm Dead, Now What?".

There may come a time when a person wishes to disappear. Having a stalker perhaps. Far better to have a list of suspects should you disappear or be found dead.

I think it' a good idea @MakeUpMaidn  and I would give this information to my husband.  I trust him 100%.  Thanks for sharing.

Btw - there's a lot of good info on Tik Tok.

@San Antonio Gal

The TikTok I saw was a *young gal,* demonstrating, clipping a lock of her hair, and her collecting her own fingerprints, to fill this Notebook.  Seemed like a really responsible thing to do for a teen or teen-ish or even young woman to do!

     No telling what happens to youth now (or actually, for that matter, with mass shootings so prevalent, what happens to any of us now!)

But I was impressed that a Youth was this responsible, to actually be creating, and filling this notebook, with herself, for her parents quick info.  Esp also, with so many Fentanyl deaths too!!  incl among teens!

     (BTW,, thats the topic of another threat I posted,

     One of the efforts to promote the  'Fentanyl Test Strips" are being headed up by another teen, who lost her sister to Fentanyl Overdose!  Another super responsible teen, it seems!   This teen is referenced on one of the posted, quoted articles on that particular thread.)

I'm soooo encouraged that the teens, & youth, in some cases,, are taking so much more responsibility, healthfully!    Makes me happier to leave, hand over this World to responsible next generations!  Woman Happy

We have Trusts, folders of important documents ( thanx to Suze) and although I'm not planning on running out and doing this, I see the value (natural or manmade disaster).  As to whom I would entrust this, its definitely my sister in law, who lives in another state and who is beyond responsible. Years ago we had our important document folder zeroxed, put it in sturdy box, taped it well and sent it to her. I don't think we're being unreasonably careful.

For security's sake, be sure not to put ANY of this info on TikTok if it suggests you  complete the form online.

It reminds me of people who keep a complete list of passwords in the desk drawer.

@deepwaterdotter  I bought the same book!  I haven't written anything in it yet. It just reminded me of 20-odd years ago when my Dad passed away unexpectedly. I remember sitting at his desk about three weeks afterwards and thinking, where do I begin.  I was so overwhelmed. I happened to open the middle drawer for a pen and noticed a large envelope with his writing on it, "in case of my death".  In it were pages and pages of handwritten notes on legal paper containing contacts, phone numbers, everything that had to do with anything concerning the house, credit cards, loans, insurance...he had everything covered. What a blessing. I remember saying to him even in your death, you're still watching out over me.

Not to go off on a tangent, but.....this reminds me of the scene in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs when Dopey opens up the door to the mine with the key hanging right outside it......and Otis on the Andy Griffith Show helping himself in and out of the jail cell with the key hanging right on the wall within arm's reach.  🗝

I think this is a good idea for those who are inclined, especially young women and children who are at higher risk for abduction and trafficking. Good for her for sharing and for you for passing it along as a possibility.
