Crazy excuses for being late for work

MSN has a cute article about crazy excuses for being late for work. My favorite was "I'm not late I didn't intend to be here til 9" The person was supposed to start at 8.

Personally, I once went to leave for work and when I put up the garage door there was a skunk right outside the door. So I immediately closed the door. I called my boss who said Just so you know - when you do get here you are working a full shift. Fortunately, the skunk mosseyed along his way pretty soon.

I lived only a few miles from my boss and one day I was hopelessly tangled up in a traffic jam so I called her cell to tell her I would be late and she said I know - you are 3 lanes over from me to my left - I looked over and there she was laughing at me.
