My thought is that together they read about other parents not being found guilty in this sort of thing and figured they might try to pull it off. That's my present theory. If that is true, then it is beyond words how horrible. If someone looks up leaving a child or pet in a hot car, then you would think he would have been all the more careful, so I'm not buying that right now. Immediate divorce for me if my spouse ever acted so irresponsibly. People break up for a lot less.

I will wait for more evidence, but I can't fathom anyone forgetting their child in a car for seven hours. I can not imagine a worse crime than killing one's own child. It's monstrous. Also, how does a man as unattractive as the father is called "womanizer"? Are there so many women wanting a man so bad that they will put up with someone like him?
That is a very good question ~ I do not think it has anything to do with religion or not religion. There are people who claim to be religious, go to Church and put on a "face" for the world ~ but in reality, they aren't spiritual people at all.
Then there are those who aren't religious, do not go to Church and are very moral people. Also, I agree with your assessment of the father ~ but I suppose there are a lot of lonely women out there that would put up with someone like him.

I think religion has nothing to do with any of it. I think there is evil in this world and this was evil. No truly religious person would do this.

I'm not a betting person but I would have placed a bet they were "very religious."
And your point is??? They lived in the Bible Belt, they went to Church, this does not make one "very" religious, IMO!

Just because he plays guitar at church does NOT make this monster "religious". He wanted "child freedom" - what committed husband/father would even think about that, and breaking several commandments along the way?
He made my skin crawl, watching his attempt at faking tears during the hearing today.

Evil is evil whether it sits in a church pew or in a dark alley. Doesn't matter what they say ... it's what they do.

I can't bear the thought of it, either. How can someone have no love for their own child?
