@Mary Bailey   The parents have already committed "professional suicide".  Does any one think that Huffman and Macy and Loughlin and her husband will ever work again?  I read that a father was terminated from his position as a hedge fund manager.  Another father was placed on leave by his law firm.  And we haven't even scratched the surface with tax fraud and charitable contributions.

I contine to believe that the kids were NOT "innocent victims" in this mess.  The details of the way this was played are so transparent that it's hard to believe that, at minimum, the kids didn't know what was going on.

They think money can buy their way through life. I hope they get jail time but affluenza reigns in this country so they probably won't.

Just imagine how many kids didn't get into college because of bribes and lies.  It makes me angry.

Wow -- those pictures are really amazing and tell a story, don't they?

I just find all of this so shocking.  What is wrong with people?  Is it just that they get so much money and status, etc., that they just feel that anything they want, all they have to do is "buy" it?  It really upsets me so much and makes me angry thinking of how all of this is affecting children and parents who have not gotten in to these schools because of these peoples' actions.

@Cats3000 ..........thats what I thought about Martha Stewart too and look where she is at.  The rich can pay their way out of anything and they will.

I too believe the kids were not innocent in this whole thing.  They knew they were not qualified to get into college.

@ImaoldhippieYou know, I forgot about Martha Stewart.  I hope you're wrong, but who knows.

As for the kids, i believe they knew much more than just they weren't qualified.  There were people who took the tests for them, there was athletics stuff that wasn't true, there were photoshoped pictures, and on and on.  I believe they were willing participants in the scam and ought to be dealt with as such.

I think this scandal has very deep pockets and this is just the tip of the iceberg.  Im sure this has been going on for years in a lot of college's.

I’m sure the kids knew and/or noticed a lot of unusual things... Taking SATs alone, and having them corrected right after?  Who knows what else they knew? 

That one girl who has a ‘ brand’ YouTubing about how she is at college for the parties, and doesn’t care about school, needs a serious life lesson. Good.

I too believe they get what's coming to them. 

I wish something would be done about all these sports figures that repeatedly beat their women, do drugs and whatever other mayhem they cause and NOTHING is done. They don't loose their jobs and seem to have to pay in any way it's beyond ridiculous!!
