Re: Could You Pass A 1954 Home Economics Class?

Nope. Apparently I'd be a complete failure.

Re: Could You Pass A 1954 Home Economics Class?

I got a lot of answers right only because I knew what they were looking for.

I can understand cleaning the sink one.  If I'm going to wash dishes in a sink (blah), I'd scrub it out before each time, too.

I've had to use a dishpan before and you bet I scrub that sucker out before and after use.  And hot hot hot water (playtex gloves needed!).

I also scrubbed the bathtub every night before baths when the kids were little---and again after.

Re: Could You Pass A 1954 Home Economics Class?

I've been busy and off-line lately so I just saw this. I would never pass, because fortunately I went to prep school, which did not require girls to take silly things like home ec!

I failed the test miserably.   It gives new appreciation for the 60s.

Yeah, I fall somewhere in that category, too!

Epic Fail here, my Mom was a "housewife" in the late 50's I wish she was still alive to answer some of these really sill questions

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.
