I would love to try and do this, makes so much sense and I am at a point in my life where I don’t really need anything.  Probably easier said then done but I so enjoyed the article. Going to print it out and for now look at it before I buy anything. I will use it for inspiration. Thanks for posting.

I want to try, as of next week, no clothes, shoes, bags, costume jewelry.

This would help me pay off my credit cards!!

I don't think I could do it.  I have plenty of clothes and should easily be able to go a year without needing to buy anything at all.  But I really enjoy having new things to wear.

Last year I gave up buying books for my kindle.  I did pretty well except for a few times when I was traveling.  I used the public library much more than I had in years and saved a lot of money.  I read about 80 books a year, so it is a significant savings.  I will continue limiting my kindle purchases in 2018.

No!  I am not a big shopper, but there are times I enjoy browsing and buying little “nice” things I don’t really need, but enjoy....a new fragrance, a candle, a pretty nightgown or sweater...whatever.  I like buying gifts for my family for the holidays.  

My life is fairly simple and quiet, and I wouldn’t voluntarily give up these little pleasures.
