I love Costco. I go every week (get there when they open on Thursdays and beat all the crowds)...staples are meat and chicken, veggies and fruit (I cleck closely on those...I don't like to buy fruit and veggies imported from other countries), bagels, cheese, paper products, rotisserie chicken, eggs, bread, and coffee. Some times we get the pizza..it is excellent and cheap! The frozen yogurt in the food court is better than anything you will buy anywhere else. I have found amazing deals on beauty products (Miracle Skin Transformer...two pack for $28 and a single one costs $41 at Ulta)and equipment (got a T3 Featherweight Hairdryer a few weeks ago for $85!!). We buy all of our vitamins at Costco. The list goes on and on ....

I prefer it to Sams...it is a step up.

We bought Costco stock at least 15 yrs. ago and it has done very well for us! Also, it pays to be an Executive Member. You get $ back every year that more than pays for the membership. We also have the Costco AMX card, and buy all of our gas there. It also sends us a refund check every year! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

That's true. We have the executive membership and get back more than we paid for the yearly membership.

You also get in an hour earlier to beat the crowds.

When I was at Costco last week the woman ahead of me was questioning the checker on the price of bananas. He told her they were the ORGANIC bananas and she said oh, that's fine then. He told her, and me, that Costco is trying to bring in more organic goods.

I know they do sell some prime meats-at a hefty price-but man, are they ever tender!!!

For those of you that saw the Modern Family episode where Cam & Mitch go to Costco, and Mitch saying "what is this place" well that was us yesterday!

DH & I have been meaning to go for quite some time and just haven't. $285 and a bulging cart later we're no longer newbies. Actually we never made it to the interior of the store. Only the food items. I was afraid to go any further lol.

BTW we have TP & paper towels to last until Christmas{#emotions_dlg.lol}

What are your best Costco stories?????

Don't care for Modern Family or Costco. I have found Sam's Club to be the best on products and pricing. Also, ALDI's food products are great. Just bought their version of Graham Crackers and they taste much better than Nabisco's and so much cheaper!! ALDI'S oreo cookies taste just like the name brand. Their spaghetti sauce taste better than Ragu also!!

Try the Aram sandwiches, I love them for a quick lunch or dinner with a salad. Turkey, sliced cheese, tomato, etc. rolled in a wrap and ready to eat. You can find them in a deli-type section near the meat counter, along with other ready to go food.

Be sure to check the books and magazine section.

Noel,

Have you tried their Caprese salad? Combine it with the rotisserie chicken and it's a great meal. The frozen pineapple chunks and cherries are also great if you like to do smoothies.

I just made myself hungry. I think I see a trip there today! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

NoelSeven thanks for the cinnamon tip. Actually that's the one spice he doesn't shop for. He's the guy that likes things spicy. The hotter the better. I'm the one that likes cinnamon. I add it to my oatmeal, French toast and baked sweet potatoes. Actually just finished those sweet potatoes.

I'll check it out the next time.

Re: meat... a friend whose family was in the grocery store business told me that Costco had excellent meat, especially for the holidays. Ever since then, I've shopped there for prime rib for Christmas, ham for Easter and corned beef for St. Patrick's day. We've never been disappointed.

asterry I forgot about the rotisserie chicken. I've heard how delicious it is and wanted to try for myself. I forgot that I now only bought it yesterday but had delicious sliced chicken sandwiches on whole wheat with spinach leaves, tomatoes, red onion and a dab of mayo. How could I forget that??? That will be my lunch tomorrow.
