@Biftu Oh that's funny!  My son shops at McCaffery's in Princeton.  I used to go the the one on Yardley all the time until Genardi's in Newtown became McCaffery's.

I just came back from Wegman's in Yardley and they have tons of Valentine stuff!  Lots of flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, and they even had heart shaped macaroons!

ETA:  McCaff's has the best cranberry walnut chicken salad in the deli section .....just if you like chicken salad!

@haddon9  I go to the McCaffrey's in Doylestown.  Our Genardi's became a Weiss.  Wegman's always has great bakery offerings.  Don't tempt me!

@Biftu I also shop a lot at Nonesuch market.  It's in Buckingham right next to Doylestown.  I love their corn in the summer!

Ladies, Nonesuch Farms used to be a client of the company where I used to work. Whenever, they came into the office (during the summer) they would bring cases of fresh corn on the cob. Needless, to say it was a huge hit with everyone in the office.

i dont belong to COSTCO, but i do belong to SAMS CLUB and BJs CLUB.

sams club is dangerous for me. i do like that i can have my items delivered for free when i spend $50, directly from the store, at the time i desire. when i am at the store i usually use the scan and go feature which is on their app. i have a smartphone and can scan the barcodes as i am placing them in my cart. i can then checkout online right on my phone also. no need to wait in a line unless there is one when i am leaving the store.

excellent customer service also in the store or via online chat.

I rarely go to Costco, but when I do, I choose my time carefully.  The best time to go is about 30 - 60 minutes before closing.  However, stupid me, I thought that they might be less crowded during Superbowl, so I thought I would drop by and pick up a few items.

Golly, it was a zoo and the egg section was completely bare.  However, I got lucky when parking and the checkout lines were moving quickly.  I was third in line.  They had two people checking receipts at the door, so that was fast, too.

I used to buy all my paper goods there, but then they changed the TP, so I started ordering that from Walmart or Amazon.  Things like boneless, skinless chicken breasts are the same $2.99 per pound at Amazon Fresh.  Cheese and gasoline are still  bargains at Costco, so I stop by now and again and stock up.

How did Costco change the toilet paper?  I buy Kirkland brand and it hasn't changed in forever.

Just wondering so I can keep an eye out for the change.

I live in upper Michigan and the only Costco up here is an hour away. Love that I live in the boonies. Our Costco is crickets every time I go. It's wonderful! I used to live in the suburbs of Detroit and Costco was a train wreck no matter when I went. Love my Costco up here. We go about once a month and always have a delightful experience. Heart

I'm getting a Costco membership because they are ignoring the the order to end diversity. I'd rather give them my money that some company that kowtows to the less than honorable.

The closest Costco to me is always packed. And what makes it even worse is the parking situation.  The parking lot is way too small to accommodate all the shoppers.  And on top of that, the lot is shared with, of all things, a Chick-Fil-A restaurant.  As one can imagine, daily minor fender benders and other traffic "situations" are the norm there.  I think it was poor planning when they built the two businesses there.

I never do self check out at Costco.  I do notice self check out lines are longer than the ones with cashiers.  I find the cashiers at Costco very fast and the line usually goes quickly.  Costco is always crowded.  I just went last Sunday (Super Bowl Sunday) because it was the only day I could go and I've been putting it off too long.  I thought it would be horrible but it was actually lighter crowd than expected.  I had a Sams Club membership when there was a promo for $15.  I didn't renew it.  Nothing really catches my eye there and options/variety of products is a lot less.

We belong to both SAM's Club and Costco.  Both are close to were I live.

Costco is always more busy all day, every day. We often wait in line to check out, but don't mind.

Sams's is a little bit closer to us.  They are usually only busy on weekends and right after people get off of work.  We have a plus membership at Sam's.

I recently have been disappointed to learn that to get  shipping on an item they do not sell in person, I would have to pay $8.  To get free shipping, You need to spend $50.  The item I wanted was a few cents short of that minimum.  I originally purchased the item before in the store, but they stopped carrying it.

They also stopped my granddaughter and me, at the door and demanded a receipt for a book she was reading when we came into the store when we left the store.  The lady at the door was very rude.  It took about 10 minutes to straighten that out and scared my GD. We were accused of shoplifting.

So, we learned not to carry anything into the store with you that they sell in their inventory.

There are advantages and disadvantages to shopping at both places.

I'm VERY close to my costco and go frequently.  Have an executive membership and never have a problem with their service.  Easy to get gas there too.

Personally, I love to self-check.  It's so easy and if you need assistance, someone's right there.

If I lived in the boonies, I would probably shop local grocery and other stores and not make the trip or have a membership.  It's also nice getting the annual check back on your savings depending on how much you spend. Cat Happy
