Costco Finds & Diabetic Holiday Recipes

We were at Costco the other day and had a great time looking at all the new things they're getting in for the holidays.

If you know the legend of the Crystal Skull, you might know that Dan Aykroyd developed Crystal Head Vodka based on the legend. Costco has a Halloween special of the vodka/head, plus two crystal head large shot glasses. I got the set and have the glasses out for votive candle holders for Halloween. I'll use the bottle as part of the food and drink area decoration.

And I want to mention a really good thick magazine I picked up there:

Holiday Diabetic Recipes from Better Homes & Gardens.

IMO, diabetic recipes are great for general health reasons, not to mention a healthy heart and even for trying to lose weight.

Aykroyds's bottle:

They’re dated between 5,000 and 35,000 years old, and were supposedly polished into shape from solid quartz chunks over a period of several hundred years. Although according to Hewlett Packard engineers, they bear no tool marks to tell us exactly how they were made.</p> <p>The heads are thought to offer spiritual power and enlightenment to those who possess them, and as such stand not as symbols of death, but of life.</p> <p>Additional info:</p> <p><a href=http://www.archaeology.org/0805/etc/indy.html
