I actually did watch the trial coverage a lot because it was on my TV all the time as I live in the area, a suburb of Philly. But I will admit maybe I missed things as I am deaf and rely on closed captioning. I get most news from online and after awhile I was saturated with trial coverage and tended to drift so maybe I don't have every fact but I know what happened, how could I not. And I also know this happens all the time in the workplace but many of these allegations were different.

I do know that woman's lives are ruined by men but so are men's lives ruined by women. Many people in the prison system are innocent and it breaks my heart. As I said though, I don't believe Bill is innocent at all but I also don't believe the women were as pure as the driven snow to get into the situation. Didn't Angela go over to Bill's home where he was alone to get career advice? She could not have asked him to meet for coffee? She was a sitting duck for a mind like Bill's. Never put yourself in compromising positions like some of these women did. "Oh OK, I will come over. The wife is not home? That's okay! A pill? Oh okay, I'll take that if you say so Bill."

There are always 2 sides to every story. Is Bill guilty? Yes! Did some of these women make things easy for his creepy mind. Yes again.

I am almost BC age, I am in poor health and I am deaf so I guess I have some compassion for the elderly no matter what people do. I have a big forgiving nature, not for Bill's behavior but because of his age when he was found guilty. Getting old is not for sissies. I also feel for his wife, who appears befuddled and having just lost her second child I have compassion for her. She didn't do anything except stay loyal, she is a better or for worse type of wife. She has had a terrible life.

In the end it is Jesus who will decide his fate and I pray Bill and his wife turn to Him and accept Him as their Lord and Savior.

I do understand where you are coming from and again I am sorry that I got you so riled. Please forgive me.

If someone makes a foolish decision it doesn't give another person the right to commit a crime against them. We proobably have all had the opportunity to do the wrong thing and been able instead to do the right thing.

Too many people doubting the women are looking at the circumstances BEFORE we knew about a lot of the date rape drugs .... I've previously referred it to as " looking through a 2018 filter".

Cosby was an actor and known as "America's Dad", not some creepy sexual predator. He often indicated he mentored actors, so who would ever doubt him?

Roofies hadn't even been invented at the time a lot of these crimes took place, and cocaine was still thought of as a harmless recreational drug by most.

Now we know a lot more and the safeguards that need to be taken, but that's still no reason to shame the victims based on what they didn't know at the time. JMO

It's a general comment about his wife. And people who are highly intelligent and well educated definately lack common sense. I see it all the time. You can disagree all you want. I am entitled to write about my personal experiences of life.

It's a ridiculous statement, obviously based on something other than fact, perhaps defensiveness. I don't know. But yes, @Qshopper1991, you are entitled to think whatever you want, even if it lacks common sense.

For clarity @Tinkrbl44 my position is I do not blame or shame the victim. My point was that even if someone (not me) thinks/decides that the victim became vulnerable through their own decisions or actions the fault still lies with the perpetrator.
