I have heard multiple reports that areas of the UK are going back under mandatory lockdown due to a rise in cases.

It was reported that Naples, Italy is under a mask mandate now also due to a rise in cases.  

I also heard part of a report that somewhere in another country, may be Italy, bars are closing at 10:00 to try and stop the spread due to a resurgence.  

I'm wondering if that has anything to do with a mutation?

Very interesting to say the least. Everyday is something new being put out and we wonder why we are all at odds.

A couple days ago, I heard an interview with a trained MD (who's wife is also a trained MD) and he said that it looks like the virus is "mutating in a favorable way". He said that although it's more contagious, the symptoms are more mild. He likened it to the common cold or flu.

Just adding some perspective.

@ThinkingOutLoud , I heard this too but a couple of months ago.  That the virus had mutated and was more contagious but more mild.
