Coping with heat and humidity

I'll admit straight up I'm one of the many summer haters here. I just can't stand the heat and humidity. We live in a mid-level condo and even when it's been serviced and has regular summer/winter maintenance, it just runs nonstop when it's 90+ and doesn't give much relief. The AC company keeps telling us we can't expect 70 degree temps with the humidity being what it is. I don't know... Do others have this battle? Aside from that, how do you cope with this sticky mess? Help! We have three more months of this?
