Cooking adventure; wish me luck!

I've never had much of a knack for cooking pork--NEVER. (We didn't eat much of it when I was a kid and my mother was such a bad cook that she ruined anything she touched.) The only way I can not ruin it is to use Shake'N'Bake and even that's kind of chancy.

Well, I bought a smallish pork tenderloin and am going to try cooking it in my crockpot today. I marinated it overnight in a bourbon/brown sugar marinade (I've used it before with delicious results) and am going to sear it, then pop it into the crockpot.

One thing I don't like about cooking in a crockpot is that meat tends to come out boiled in its own juices, so I drain it every couple of hours and that's what I'll do with this.

Any suggestions on what I could add to make my tenderloin even tastier? Or should I cook it by itself this first time?

TIA for your suggestions, thoughts, etc.

Oh I forgot to add--I don't have any string for tying it together in a roll so I used regular sewing thread! {#emotions_dlg.w00t} I'll let you know how that works out {#emotions_dlg.laugh}
