Can Bird Flu be contracted by eating bird, ie, Chicken, Turkey from any Grocery Store?

Bird flu is not a food born illness, as others have said google will give you the answer.

I just overheard the TV say someone just caught Bird Flu that had NO history of being anywhere near any birds in person.  Soo was wondering if the *Powers that Be* missed a kind of transmission.

In all seriousness and quite frankly, given the past few years I have lost trust in what the CDC tells us about contagious diseases
